il piumaggio

toccarci col piede sotto la tavola
scavarci con lo sguardo nel volto
sentirci la cervicale sciogliersi in
intimità e quell’irradiante
tepore sotto le ascelle
da cui nascono
le ali dell’amore...
Costretti ad alzarsi da tavola
perché spunta anche il piumaggio
ingombrante della coda variopinta per
il corteggiamento...Si apre a ventaglio, non
è fenomeno di passaggio, è innamoramento

 the plumage

touching feet under the table
searching each other's face and then 
to feel the neckbone melt
to intimacy and that radiant
warmth in the armpits
from which

love wings spring...

force to leave the table 
by the growth by the cumbersome 
colourful plumage of the courting tail...
It fans out, no passing flirt this time, 
it's falling in love full sail
